Safety
How to stay safe in the app.
Use a strong password
Use a long password with mixed characters. Do not reuse it from email or shopping. Change it if you think someone else has it.
Keep your username boring
A plain username and bio attract fewer fights than a provocative one. You can say more once you know someone.
Block and report
You do not have to argue. Block anyone who bothers you and report threats, scams or sexual harassment. Most apps make both easy.
Never share bank details
Never give card numbers, bank logins or “verification codes”. A real match does not need those.
Guard contact details
Wait before you share a full name, workplace, or home area. A first name and the app chat are enough at the start.
Never send money
Do not send money, crypto, gift cards or a travel ticket. People who ask for that are trying to trick you.
Watch for romance scams
A new match who love-bombs, avoids a video call, then needs money is running a romance scam. End it.
Do not tap random links
Links in chat can steal the account. Stay inside the app until you know who they are.
